Thank you for looking at my Summer in the Country cookbook written by the Gooseberry Patch in their Everyday Cookbook Collection.
Gooseberry Patch has been around for years – those of us who genuinely love their cookbooks enjoy not only for the family recipes shared by those living all around us in our great country, but also for the endearing stories revolving around those recipes also shared!
The illustrations always look hand drawn and provide very creative ideas on how to decorate or present dishes. When I walk through the pages, it is incredibly easy and fulfilling to imagine how delicious the dish is and the loving memories attached to each as though I was a part of the family tradition while it takes me back on journeys to those days gone by with my cherished loved ones over the decades.
The book provides this synopsis to summarize: There's nothing like the breezy days of summer...the freshest produce, grilling outdoors, swaying on the porch swing and watching the kids chase fireflies. A trip to the farmers' market, or a short walk to your own backyard, give us reasons to share the most flavorful dishes with our family & friends.
