Comfrey may be planted most any time the ground isn't frozen.
I have potted comfrey available for your farm or garden.
At times I also have comfrey roots available to start your own plants.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

First photo is my potted Bocking 14. Second photo is my Heirloom Comfrey just getting fresh leaves since winter. Third photo is my mother's mature Bocking 14 in her garden.

We have for sale potted plants of 2 varieties of Comfrey. Bocking 14 Comfrey and Heirloom Comfrey.
Comfrey has a very deep root system bringing up nutrients from down deep. The leaves grow fast. When it gets large we cut it down and use it as mulch in the garden or add it to the compost. A lot of people make a tea with it to water their plants. Our goats, chickens and pig (when we had one) love to eat it! It is a nutritious feed for animals. It is also used medicinally. Plus our pollinator friend, the Bumble Bee LOVES the little comfrey flowers!

$7.50 each

Bocking 14 (First photo is of my Mother's Bocking 14 in her garden.)
These are from root division. Bocking 14 is a superior variety of comfrey plants. This is considered a good medicinal variety. It does not spread by seed, which is good if you do not want it to take over the area! Neither does it tend to spread very much underground. It tends to stay in a clump unless you mess with the roots, then it will spread!
If you want to read more about it's benefits be sure to search on line for the Benefits of Bocking 14 Comfrey.

Heirloom Comfrey
These plants I started from seed.
The heirloom comfrey will freely spread by reseeding itself and also by underground shoots. This can be a good fact if you want it for grazing for your livestock! But if you want comfrey in a small tidy garden best get the Bocking 14!

These are a hardy perennial herb plant.
If you are not local and are wanting me to ship comfrey bare roots to you, I can do so at this time!
Please order through my ebay listings. Here are the web addresses to each one:
