Administrative Assistant - Fort Wayne Housing Authority
Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Property Manager in all management and operational aspects of providing safe, quality, affordable housing for low-income families.
All activities must support the Fort Wayne Housing Authority (“FWHA” or “Authority”) mission, strategic goals, and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The position duties and responsibilities listed below describe the general nature and scope of work. Other responsibilities, duties, and skills may be required and assigned, as needed.
-Assists assigned Property Managers with administrative, operational, and management tasks assigned.
-Assist with recertifications and new move-ins.
-Open and close work orders.
-Maintains snow logs for each site.
-Assists residents with issues and queries.
-Provides a high level of customer service to clients of or visitors to the FWHA.
-Performs any necessary administrative duties.
-Promotes FWHA brand awareness by adhering to FWHA brand standards and ensuring that any communication regarding the public value of affordable housing programs offered by FWHA also addresses the many other public values served (fair housing, economic development, welfare-to-work, etc.)
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a related role.
· An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
· Valid State Issued driver’s license is required, and the incumbent must be insurable under the Authority’s plan.
Technical Skills
To perform this job successfully, the employee should have strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook). Must have the ability to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks.
